First trip to the Gold Coast. We left about 11am this morning. Instead of going to the big tourist beaches or the dog beach, we went somewhere small. We actually went to a place called Tellebudgera Creek, a more family friendly area. But Alex did drive us down by the coast and into Surfer’s Paradise. I can’t wait to go again. The water was so cold, but silly me actually got in and played with the boys. I’m just happy I haven’t gotten burnt here yet. I got a little sun last time, but I’ve been tanning pretty well. Plus my shorts, bright salmon, makes it hard to lose me anywhere, ha ha. The boys were so cute in their little swim suits and floaties. Ewey is starting to learn how to swim. Both boys still freaked out a bit when they got close to the deep areas, but did pretty well. They actually wanted my help, ha ha. We all (except Alex) slept on the hour ride back. Only 4:30pm now, gonna relax and watch movies until dinner. I’ll get better pics when I hit the more touristy areas of the coast 🙂
Oh and there were fish everywhere in the nice blue water, I think it was their chance to get out while the sharks are sleeping. This is what I got from Wikipedia:
Tallebudgera Creek is known for good fishing, and its name even translates in indigenous language to “good fishing”.[1] Bream, flathead, whiting and the bull shark are common species that are found in the creek.
