Seems I’ve gotten quite bad at keeping this up again. This is day two of my trip to Siem Reap. This was actually Christmas Day. We were suppose to go to the temples this day, but if you remember the end of the last post about our trip… yeah, that wasn’t going to happen, haha. http://wp.me/p1YmOm-qC
This post will be about the Angkor Silk Farm and the Tonle Sap Lake floating village.
The silk farm was Whittney’s choice of the day. Tonle Sap Lake was mine. We had to go back the opposite way again. Out poor tuk tuk driver’s bike sure got a work out, but he was still pretty awesome about it. The best thing to do is just to pay him a flat fee for the day. The lake trip is $20 a person so be prepared. Also, word of warning, DO NOT get off the boat at the school. That’s where they try to get as much money out of you as possible. Our guide wasn’t so happy that we chose not to be taken in, but to just sit out on the water. We were content enjoying the silence and view for a bit.
And that concludes day two… in pictures at least. We spent almost every night plays pool and spades and just generally relaxing 🙂
