I am so sorry I haven’t update y’all on this subject in awhile. Miss Travel doesn’t seem to be that interesting as before. As I have been a member for a few months now, really the only winks, favorites, and views I am getting are from the same people that I am not interested in talking to.
On the other hand, I am still in contact and email occasionally with the man who invited me to Sydney (remember that I turned him down). We now exchange emails like pen pals and even pictures of out adventures. Here are a few of his pictures from the emails (no that’s not him in the pic, lol). I received “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” emails. I’ll attached a few of the pictures he’s sent. This guy’s name is Mark and, if you remember, is a bit older. Captain of a liquid natural gas cargo ship and sails around the Pacific. Oh well, penpals are nice. No obligation and fun pics from around the world.
In the end, my conclusion is that Miss Travel only really works if you really want it to. Whether it’s penpals, a vacation, or looking for love… it really is just like any other dating site. Give it a go 🙂
**UPDATE**
Mark emailed me again. He managed to secure a travel buddy: a girl from north of Prague. She seems to be loving Sydney and dragging him all over the place. I’m glad he’s having so much fun!! It’s nice to make new friends 🙂
