Ok a bit backwards here. Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve actually posted something, not just reblogged. Casey introduced me to the Hola Better Internet extension for google chrome which allows the user to change their VPN… guess where I spend my 10 day Christmas vacation… that’s right, on the couch with a face full of Netflix 😀 Watched 10 different shows and movies that I’d never seen before. A bit excited that Drinking Buddies is now on Netflix since I’ve been dying to see it and wasn’t willing to pay $10 to see it on iTunes, haha. Also spent most of the last few weeks reading. Slowly working my way through Kathy Reichs’ collection of novels about Dr. Temperance Brennan. I love the show Bones (I own every season) and thought it was time to read the books…. now I’m obsessively buy and reading them, haha 🙂 Klarka got Just Dance 2014 Wii for Christmas. I think we may have found the ultimate way of training her energy after a full day!! Besides, it’s got a workout section on it (‘Just Sweat’)… I’ve lost 10lbs!! LOVE IT!! Totally recommend it 🙂 Finally went and saw Catching Fire… AMAZING!! No other way to describe it. Saw the final showing in CZ. Took forever to get around to seeing it.
I’m officially a fanatic about Doctor Who and Torchwood. My big brother told me that if any episode of DW were to make you immediately interested, it would be ‘Blink’ from series 3. He was right. The Weeping Angels drew me in 😀 The 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) will always be my first Doctor. I kind of like the 10th (David Tennant is a cutie), don’t really like the 11th (Matt Smith is a bit awkward), and haven’t seen the 12th (Peter Capaldi). I really loved the story of the Doctor and Rose. I’m not liking Donna or Martha (flirts too much with the Doctor) much, but I’ve only made it part way through series 3. I KNOW I have more to learn, don’t kill me Whovians, haha!! I took a break from Doctor Who and switched to Torchwood. I really liked that show. Captain Jack Harkness was a great character to give a spin-off to from the original show. I really liked the first to series, cried so hard at the end of series two… and three… but I had to push myself through the end of series 4 😦 I will admit I also sobbed like a baby at the end of series two of Doctor Who.
Now that you’d seen my geeky side… guess I should also mention that I saw The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug 3 times over the Christmas Holidays 😉
