Oh my goodness was Greece amazing!! Sadly, I think I caught a cold from the guy who spent the entire bus ride from Heraklion to Kokkini Hani hacking. I woke up the next morning so sick. Worse today 😦
Ok, so we booked an 8 day stay on Crete in Kokkini Hani at the Aquis Arina Sand resort. It was great. The hotel was 4 star and ok, but being right on the beach was the best thing ever. I’m so tan now. I didn’t even have to try. It was great just having the three of us girls to have fun. Klarka threw her usual fits, those of a typical 6 yr old. Karin did minimal work, but only what she couldn’t get out of (ie calls). I’ll definitely be writing to trip advisor about the hotel and such. We went shopping and explored Heraklion. Visited the CretAquarium. Saw the Knossos Palace and location of the legendary/mythical Labrynth. Even went to a water park called Water City. We did a lot of talking though on the beach. I think we had some break throughs on ideas to help Klarka. It’s hard when she’s getting over her parents separation, even though it’s been nearly 2 years. She’s young and it’s stll rough on her. Her father, Jan, isn’t exactly the most sensitive guy out there. Sometimes I wonder if he realizes he’s actually raising a girl, not a son. Karin is doing as best any single mother can. It’s awesome to watch her. My mom raised us single until we were 14 (me) and 17 (bro), and I think we turned out great. They just have totally different parenting styles, haha. Guess y’all wanna see some pics now?
