Wow, I can’t believe I’ve become phenominally bad at posting, lol. This is an update for April to July. As many of you know, or have read, I went home for 3 months because of the Schengen restrictions. I arrived back in Prague on June 28… where I proceeded to make a scene in the baggage claim area because they forgot my luggage in London. Needless to say, it actually worked. BA delivered my luggage to the house around 10pm that night… with apologies. It helps to be apart of their Executive Club, haha. My work permit has been approved, now I just need my visas to stay to be approved or the permit would be worthless. Since I’ve arrived, I’ve seen 5 castles, a chateau, gone to Slovakia twice, and we’ve planned our vacation for August 8-18.
Klarka went to her father’s the next day after I arrived. They spent 2 weeks in Pisak, Croatia.
My first weekend here we went to see Český Krumlove in Southern Bohemia. Gorgeous castle not far from here, but packed with tourists. We weren’t supposed to take photos during the tour… but of course I did, haha.
The next weekend we went to Kremnice, Slovakia; Elena’s (Karin’s mother) hometown. Small town, but very traditional and still has remnants of the wars. Small castle to visit, as well. And anyone who knows me knows how much I HATE hiking… that’s mostly what we did.. hike up 3 mountains. I managed some awesome pics, but the hikes just about killed me, lol. We stayed with family and even did some hiking with them.
On my return to Slovakia when I went to the CZ embassy in Bratislava on Wednesday, I stayed with Janka, Marek, and their boys Thomas and Lucas. Karin sent along some toys to say thank you for letting me sleep their and for picking me up from the train station 🙂
Klarka and I spent a week in Bechyně while Karin stayed in Prague to finish up work and join us on Friday. Klarka was busy from 9am to 9pm everyday. I was only there because she’s still wearing pull-ups at night. I saw a castle a day and a chateau on Friday with Karin. For some reason, during our stay Klarka decided she wanted to sleep on the floor, haha.
Bechyně – Monday
Jindřichův Hradec – Tuesday
Třeboň – Wednesday
Hluboká nad Vltavou and the Nuclear plant everyone talks about, but not one can figure out who it belongs to, lol. – Thursday
Červená Lhota with Karin – Friday
Now we’re planning our vacation to Plitvice Lakes, Croatia… the seaside in northern Croatia, and hiking in Austria in the Alps. Yay!! So excited!! Oh, I also need to post about what happened while I was gone back home to Texas. Be on the lookout for that 🙂
