Ok, so the visit to the embassy in Bratislava was actually good. It went well. The interviewer was the same lady as last time, only much nicer. Got lost on the way to the embassy so it took me an hour instead of a normal 20-30 min walk. Got a few extra pics along the way. Now we’re just waiting to see what the ministry of interior has to say.
Day trip to Dresden, Germany to get the car a check up. 2nd day in a row I was up at 5:30am 😦 Of course, I drove the highway and into Germany to the Mercedes dealership after Karin got us thru Prague. We work well because she likes teh city, hates the highway… I hate the city, and love the highway, lol. We spent a good deal of the day exploring, finding things we can do with Klarka and shopping. Accidentally got locked into a church during a Lutheran mass, lol. We also ended up having a looong talk in a cafe and in the car home. It’s gonna take a while for both of us to get over our exes.. her more than me because she had more invested, but it helps to have someone to talk to.
We also started planning our September trip. There’s a conference in Monte-Carlo, Monaco in September. Karin will be spending the first few days in meetings while Klarka and I explore, then Karin will join us in exploring. I’m so excited!! Monte-Carlo!! Never thought that was possible, but Karin and I are already looking at ticket prices. It’s a flight from Prague to Nice, France, then either a train, bus or helicopter for the 30 mins into Monaco to Monte-Carlo.
