Ok so I’m officially on The Hunger Games bandwagon. Sarah dragged me to the movie last Friday and, you know, I’m grateful. I ad heard mention of it, but wasn’t thinking much about it. It’s actually really good!! I will admit to tearing up within the first 20 minutes of the movie, lol. I came home last week and immediately downloaded all 3 books onto my Nook. I can’t seem to put them down!!
We went again tonight to see the movie. Still good. I’m also starting to realize that teenagers are the worst people to be around during a movie. I had to actually turn around and ask a group of teenage girls to be quite at least 3 times 😦 Thank goodness they walked out halfway through. We enjoyed the rest of the movie in peace… too bad it was FREEZING in that screen.
I’d write a review, but I’m not even done with the first book yet as I have to force myself to put it down just to get some sleep. Even now, I just got home a half hour ago and it’s 1:15am. I really should be getting to sleep, but I’m trying out my blog on my phone 🙂 I’m trying to avoid any spoilers online so I’m not going to give you readers any either. Just know that it’s only PG13 for violence. There’s no bad stuff and MAYBE a total of 3 curse words if you’re paying real close attention, you can catch them. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone. Even without reading to books first, the books are still great and the movie just enhances the experience. I hope that made sense. Maybe I shouldn’t blog this late, lol.
Good night all… “and may the odd be ever in your favor” 😉
This is probably the best cover of Land Down Under by Men at Work that I’ve ever seen or heard:
So I know it’s been awhile, sorry guys. Thing here have been going great. I haven’t been able to do much traveling, but the experience of being in Australia with my host family and friends has been amazing. I’m going to miss them sooo much. The boys have wormed their way into my heart and it’s gonna break to leave. Speaking of, I have been an April 29th flight to be back home in Texas. I’ll leave here at 11:30am Brisbane time and arrive in DFW technically 10 hours later at 9:25pm. I have layovers in Fiji and LAX. I have tons of souvenirs for people. I hope y’all like them. I have things from both Germany and Australia and there might be some things from Fiji thrown in as well. Belated Christmas gifts will also be among these. I can’t wait to see everyone from church again. I know I’m coming back waaay sooner than I originally planned, but there’s a very good reason for this…
Once home, I will be visiting friends, but I will also be packing my belongings up from my parents house, buying a car and preparing to move to NY. I will be joining Chris while he is stationed at Ft Drum. I can’t wait. I’m so happy. We haven’t settled on a place yet, but I have a feeling that won’t be settled until I get there. I’ll also need to start applying for jobs soon. I am thinking of returning to school at the local community college there in Jefferson County to study Psychology. I seem to be the one that can help everyone, so why not get paid for it? lol.
As of today: 34 days until I arrive home in Texas, and 58 until I make my trip to NY 🙂
