Sorry it’s been awhile. Not much has been going on. Sarah and I had to cancel a lot of out plans because he uncle was killed during a race. He was a jockey. The horses’ leg bandages came unwrapped, the horse tripped and crushed him. So sad. He was only 25.
Today/tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so I’m making a dinner for all of us, but we’re having it Friday for lunch since the TAMU/tu game will be on for the final time tomorrow at 11am. We’re having BBQed turkey legs, corn bread casserole, broccoli and cheese casserole, crescents and chocolate cake. I can’t wait! Alex is doing the turkey legs on the BBQ, I’m making the casseroles and Alicia is going to make the cake. I’ve never made my cousin Sandi’s broccoli and cheese casserole, so this will be a first. My corn bread casserole usually comes out great.
The boys have been nuts the past week since we got them a slip’n’slide. We all got sunburnt yesterday, thank goodness it wasn’t bad. I just wish the slide was bigger for me, lol. We made a fort today under the table. Brought in their little kid couches and he snacks and read with a ‘torch’ (flashlight). It was a rainy day today 😦
Sarah and I are hoping to be able to go out and have some real Aussie fun Friday night. I haven’t had a night out since the Reeperbahn and would love to experience the Brisbane night life. Maybe go to the Down Under Bar or the Backpacker’s Bar. Lots of fun in store. I just hate going out during the summer when it’s so hot. Let’s hope I meet some cute Aussies 😉 ha ha.
Word of Advice: keep older siblings away from younger ones. Casey and Ashley have taught the twins the word and meaning of “tea bag”. Message me if you don’t know it and it’ll attempt to explain. 3.5yr olds should never know this meaning.
